• Served as a program committee member in Optical MEMS and Miniaturized Systems of the Society of Photo-Optical
Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE) Photonics West Conference, USA, from 2007 until present.
• Served as a co-editor in the SPIE Journal of Micro/Nanolithography, MEMS and MOEMS (JM3) from 2007 until present.
• Consulted for a publicly traded medical device company in the US from 2007 until present.
• Co-founded a forum in Stanford University that joined engineers, scientists, and clinicians to identify emerging areas at the
intersection of these fields from 2005 to 2007.
• Authored and co-authored over 50 manuscripts published in peer-reviewed conference proceedings and journals, such as
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) journals, Optical Society of America (OSA) journals, SPIE journals,
and Nature Publishing Group Publications.
• Contributed to a book chapter in “Micro- and Nano-Electromechanical Systems Handbook.”
• Presented at over 50 professional meetings including invited talks at various world class research institutes.
• Specialize in biomedical miniature imaging devices/systems design and development including MEMS/NEMS
devices/systems fabricating, testing, and packaging.
• Taught classes at various institutes including Chulalongkorn University, UCLA, and Stanford University.
• Demonstrated the first two-dimensional (2-D) MEMS scanners for an Ultrahigh Resolution Optical Coherence Tomography
(UHR-OCT) imaging endoscope, a portable two-photon imaging microendoscope, and a Dual-Axes Confocal imaging probe.
