Wei Zhong is an assistant professor in the Division of Math and Computer Science at University of South Carolina Upstate. He is an elected fellow of International Society of Intelligent Biological Medicine. He received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from Georgia State University, USA, in 2006. His research interests include machine learning, data mining, bioinformatics and high performance computing. He has published 14 papers in prestigious international journals and conferences proceedings. He has also made 8 oral presentations at major international conferences in his field. So far, he has served as the reviewer for 10 prestigious journals and 9 international conferences. He has also served as a committee member for 16 major international bioinformatics and data mining conferences. He has been invited to serve as a session chair for several international conferences.
