Dr. Calvin Yu-Chian Chen is a Research Fellow and advisor
in China Medical University and its affiliated Beigang Hospital.
He also a research fellow in Harvard medical school and adjunct
professor of the Department of Bioinformatics in Asia
University. Dr. Chen built the world's largest TCM database (TCM
database@Taiwan) and the world's first cloud-computing CADD system
(iScreen.cmu.edu.tw).
Dr. Chen's laboratory focuses on interdisciplinary issues, such
as bioinformatics, systems biology, chemoinformatics, and pharmainformatics, and
investigates biological problems by means of mathematic, physical, chemical, and
computational methods. He completed his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering in 2001 and
postdoctoral training at Sinica and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT,
program of Computational and Systems Biology).
