Hong-Bin Shen received his PhD degree from Shanghai Jiaotong University, China in 2007. He was a postdoctoral research fellow of Harvard Medical School from 2007 to 2008. Currently, he is a professor in the Institute of Image Processing and Pattern Recognition, Shanghai Jiaotong University, China. His research interests include bioinformatics and pattern recognition.
He is particularly interested in research aimed at predicting protein structure and function, as well as intelligent modeling for complex biological networks. He serves on the editorial boards of several international journals.
