Dr. Zhang Lifeng is currently the Senior Research Scientist and Head of Organic Chemistry in Research Analytics Department, Centre for Advanced Water Technology (CAWT), Singapore. Dr. Zhang has more than 18 years of R&D and industrial experience in environmental analysis, organic synthesis and material development. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Wuhan University in 1996. As a registered Technical Assessor for SAC-SINGLAS Accreditation Council in the area of environmental analysis, Dr. Zhang has extensive experience in research and development of analytical and water chemistry. He has also authored numerous publications and patents.
In CAWT, he performs research, manages and operates the laboratories to conduct drinking water tests, research projects, and supports regional government agencies and industries. In 1999, he joined Environmental Technology Institute (ETI) of Singapore as the Leader of Organic Chemistry in Research Analytical Laboratories and led the team to be one of the best in the region. Before joining ETI, Dr. Zhang has worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in National University of Singapore.
