The International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedical Engineering, founded in 2007, is an annual conference co-sponsored by IEEE EMB Society and world-renowned universities, and the conference has been successfully held in May or June over the past four years.

In order to promote the exchanges and cooperation of bioinformatics and biomedical engineering domain in China, the 5th International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedical Engineering will be held from May 10th to 12th, 2011 in Wuhan, China, sponsored by IEEE EMB Society, Engineering Information Institute and Wuhan University, with more than 500 scholars and experts around the world attendances. The conference encompass the fields of bioinformatics, computational biology, biomedical engineering, environmental conservation, etc, the invited famous experts will do the theme reports to discuss the tendency of bioinformatics, computational biology, biomedical engineering and environmental conservation.

IEEE生物信息与生物医学工程国际学术会议（International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedical Engineering, 简称iCBBE）创办于2007年，由美国IEEE EMB协会和国内外知名学府及学术机构共同举办，每年5月或6月召开，现已成功召开四届。
为促进我国生物信息和生物医学工程领域内的更多交流与合作，第五届IEEE生物信息与生物医学工程国际学术会议（iCBBE 2011）将于2011年5月10-12在中国武汉举行，由美国IEEE EMB，工程信息研究院和武汉大学联合举办，预计会有来自不同国家、地区的500多名代表参会。大会涉及生物信息，计算生物学，生物医学工程，环境保护等方面，并将邀请国际知名生物信息和生物医学工程专家做主题报告，共同探讨生物信息与生物医学工程的最新发展方向。
